My Birthday

A few weeks ago on August 8, 2015 I Celebrated another Birthday. I had hoped to go out for at least a few hours but no one thought to avail themselves to cover me and stay with Mom. However my Sister, Cyndi did prepare me a Wonderful Dinner and a Delicious Cake too. Thanks Sis I Love you to the moon!  Here are some pictures:

Meals on Wheels

It has been a Challenge to get Mom to eat since she has had Dementia. At times she has refused to eat and has basically lost her desire for food. She does eat Breakfast food regularly thank goodness. As a result we have had to become creative with preparing her Meals. My Sister recently looked into a local program called Meals on Wheels. Which is a program that prepares and delivers Meals daily to Seniors. They prepare a hot meal and a cold meal daily which includes a fruit juice and low fat milk. Unfortunately Mom hasn’t eaten the cold meals which is a sandwich with a side. However most days she has eaten the Hot Meal for Dinner. We add Mrs. Dash Seasonigs and put it on a plate so that it looks Homemade. We have tasted the food and they taste pretty good actually. What a Lifesaver. Thank you Meals on Wheels.

Mom’s New Afghan

The VNA of Boston recently gave my Mom this Beautiful Afghan. A Volunteer from the organization personally made it. We Gladly received it and Proudly display it on my Mom’s Hospital Bed.
